Who we are

Conscious Ripple is a small business run by Cathy Clarke in Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website (the "Site"), including The Ripple Mail Club membership, the Daily Pause, the Meditations, the Journal and the Reflection Quiz.

What we collect

• Membership: your name, email address and the Australian postal address your Ripple is sent to.
• Payment details: your card details are entered directly with our payment provider, Stripe. We never see or store your full card number. We receive only your subscription status, the last four digits and billing contact details.
• Reflection Quiz: your name, email address and the reflections you choose to share.
• Email preferences: whether you have asked to receive our monthly email, and whether you have unsubscribed.
• Basic technical information: device and browser data your browser sends when you visit the Site.

We only collect what you choose to give us. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 16.

Why we collect it

• To take your monthly payment and post your Ripple to you.
• To send membership emails such as your welcome note, access codes and payment notices. These are part of your membership and are sent whether or not you subscribe to the monthly email.
• To send the monthly Conscious Ripple email, if you have asked for it.
• To read and reflect on your Reflection Quiz answers so the Club can be shaped with care.
• To reply to you if you email us.

Email and unsubscribing

Every email we send includes a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom, which takes you to our unsubscribe page. You can also email us any time and we will remove you ourselves. Once you unsubscribe, your address is added to a suppression list so our system will not email you again.

Please note that essential membership emails, such as payment receipts, failed payment notices and secure access codes, may still be sent while your membership is active, because they are needed to run your subscription. Cancelling your membership stops these too.

How we store it

Your information is stored securely in a managed cloud database. Access is protected by role-based permissions — only Cathy (and, in future, a trusted assistant helping with postal fulfilment) can see it. We never sell your information and we never share it for advertising.

The Worry Tree and other private tools

Anything you write in The Worry Tree, and in the Daily Pause journal prompts, is saved only in your own web browser on your own device. It is never sent to us, never stored in our database, and we cannot read it. Clearing your browser data, or using the "Reset app data" link on the Worry Tree page, removes it permanently.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the Site: our hosting and database provider, Stripe for payments, our email delivery provider, and Australia Post to deliver your Ripple. They only process your information on our behalf. We do not share your information with anyone else.

Cookies and analytics

The Site uses only the minimum cookies needed to function. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. If we add lightweight analytics in future, this policy will be updated first.

How long we keep it

We keep membership records for as long as you are a member and afterwards only as long as needed for tax and record-keeping. Reflection Quiz responses and email subscriptions are kept for as long as they remain useful to the Club. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.

Your rights

You can ask us to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you. Just email info@consciousripple.com and we will respond within a reasonable timeframe.

Changes to this policy

If we make meaningful changes to how we handle your information, we will update this page and the "last updated" date above.
